Local landmark gets an update

This existing building on the main thoroughfare in Nyack, NY was originally built in 1877 as The Hotel Everett, and remained Nyack's tallest building for years.  After renovating the four floors of apartments in the building, the current owners approached us for help with the building's entry and facade.  Since the street level storefront is original to the building and has retained the architectural character that makes Nyack such a special place, we decided to keep that in place, and focused our attention on the residential entry to the apartments on the left.  We developed a variety of schemes for the building owner to evaluate, focusing on different materials and color palettes, and narrowed it down to a scheme that the owner liked best.  We received the unanimous approval of the selected scheme at the Nyack Architectural Review Board in July, 2017.  Project moving forward!
